Africa countries leading 2024 economic growth

I) As the continent of Africa embraces the transformation agenda in these decades, one of the key indicators is the growth patterns of the various countries on the continent.

II) With diverse economic activities and infrastructure development, Africa is poised to transform the phase of economic development and impact the lives of its citizens, eradicating poverty and the plague of underdevelopment.

III) The east Africa region’s GDP growth is projected to grow from 1.5% in 2023 to 4.9% in 2024 to 5.7 in 2025, in West Africa, growth is expected to slow in this same period.

IV) Although growth rates are not even on the continent, 11 out of the 20 fastest-growing economies in the world are located on the continent. Countries, including Niger (11.2%), Senegal (8.2%), Libya (7.9%), Rwanda (7.2%), Cote d’Ivoire (6.8%), Ethiopia (6.7%), Benin (6.4%), Djibouti (6.2%), Tanzania (6.1%), Togo (6%), and Uganda (6%). 
Africa’s growth projection of 3.8% in 2024 and 4.2% in 2025 is higher than the global average of 2.9% and 3.2%.
